Accessibility Statement
We want this site to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, or a screen at high magnification.
What we are aiming at
We build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced in the United States, and it is the target we hold this site to.
What that means in practice here
- Every photograph carries descriptive alternative text, so a screen reader can describe the work rather than skipping it.
- The whole site can be operated by keyboard, and the element you are on is always visibly outlined.
- Headings are in a real order rather than chosen for their size, so a screen reader can navigate the page structure.
- Text and background colors are checked for contrast in both light and dark display settings.
- The frequently asked questions expand and collapse using native browser controls, which assistive technology already understands.
- Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport, and stays readable when zoomed to 200%.
- Motion and animation respect your system setting for reduced motion.
- Form fields have real labels, and errors are described in words rather than by color alone.
Where we know we fall short
We would rather name the gaps than claim there are none.
- Some content is embedded from third parties, including the map and any video. We do not control the accessibility of those embeds, though we choose the most accessible option available to us.
- Older photographs carried over from the previous site have alternative text that describes them adequately but briefly.
If something does not work for you
Please tell us. A short description of the page and what went wrong is enough, and it is genuinely useful. Email santos@wimberleytreeservice.com or call (512) 657-5057. We aim to respond within two business days.
If any part of this site stops you getting what you need, call us and we will simply do it with you over the phone. Booking a tree job should never depend on being able to use a web form.
